Joseph K. (Tray) Allen III joined Allen Real Estate in 1998. Born and raised in the Warrenton area and being the third generation of his family to enter real estate, he has effectively been a student of the business his entire life and is very familiar with...and familiar to, the Fauquier community and surrounding counties.
A graduate of the Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va., Tray went on to attend the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech where he graduated with a B.S. in Finance in 1998. He is also a graduate of the Outward Bound School at Hurricane Island, Maine and has traveled extensively throughout most of North America, Europe and parts of Asia. Currently, Tray is a member of Gobundance, a nationwide mastermind of high net worth men, where they regularly meet to brainstorm business, family, faith and life.
Upon joining the family business in 1998, Tray was tapped early on to serve on the Board of Directors of the Greater Piedmont Area Association of REALTORS®. In addition to regular board duties, he served as chairman of the REALTORS® Political Action Committee. He is currently serving a third term on the board.
In the community, he served on the Board of Directors of the Fauquier Family Shelter Services, the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Fauquier, the Board of Fauquier Habitat For Humanity, and currently the Board of Fauquier SPCA and the Board of Experience Old Town Warrenton where he served as Chairman.
Currently in his 28th year in Real Estate. Tray has established a strong track record, with experience listing and selling a broad range of residential properties. He has successfully listed and sold small lots, multi million dollar estates and everything in between.
Tray serves as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Associate Broker. He regularly attends local, state and National Conferences to stay up to date on the latest technologies and practices. With strong community involvement, an ongoing commitment to learning and over two decades of experience, Tray brings not only a well rounded perspective, but a wealth of knowledge that can only come from being in the trenches every day as a FULL TIME Real Estate Broker.
Tray lives in Old Town Warrenton with his wife Emily and two sons, Joe IV and Mix. He can frequently be found patronizing the shops and cafes on Main St. or walking his rescue pup “Max” around town. If you see them around please give a wave!
